FIELD: processes of welding metals by explosion.
SUBSTANCE: process comprises steps of placing charge of explosion matter on upper surface of thrown sheet; initiating charge of explosion matter and providing striking of thrown sheet by explosion action with fixed sheet. Rod type pickups are arranged by rows along lateral surface of fixed sheet on line in direction coinciding with that of detonation wave at least in one holder of insulation material and they are mutually spaced by preset interval. Said pickups are arranged with possibility of contact of their ends with thrown sheet at initiating charge of explosion matter. Pickup height values are increased in direction normal to wave detonation. Impulses occurred at contact of thrown sheet with ends of pickups are registered for determining striking angle of welded sheets, motion speed of contact spot of thrown and fixed sheets, flying sped of thrown sheet.
EFFECT: improved accuracy of defining welding parameter, enhanced quality of welded seam, elimination of mechanical distortion of fixed sheet, lowered labor consumption.
