FIELD: automatic control of anti-corrosion protection of production equipment in oil refining and petrochemical industries; primary oil refining plants at high content of chloro-organic compounds.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes measurement of pH of aqueous phase with the aid of pH sensor, automatic control of flow rate of neutralizing agent depending on deviation from preset level of pH and introduction of inhibitor; pH of aqueous phase is maintained at accuracy of ±(0.1-0.5), ± 0.2 preferably of average magnitude of optimal pH required for maximum efficiency of inhibitor protection at minimum consumption of inhibitor. Proposed method ensures reduction of rate of corrosion of carbon steel to level of 0.06 mm/year and avoidance of unproductive consumption of neutralizing agent at protective effect no less than 95% and minimum consumption of inhibitor of 3-5 ppm and reduction of conversion of hydrocarbons into aqueous phase to magnitudes not higher than 70 ppm.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
