FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular, cyclone-type dust catcher used in vacuum cleaner for separating contaminants from sucked air.
SUBSTANCE: cyclone-type dust catcher has cyclone casing comprising first cyclone and at least one second cyclone arranged around first cyclone and communicating therewith, air inlet aperture connected to cyclone casing for providing air inflow into cyclone casing, air outlet aperture connected with cyclone casing for discharging of air passed through respective cyclones, and dust collector connected to cyclone casing for collecting dust separated from air by means of first and second cyclones. Dust collector has dust collector case and divider disposed on dust collector internal surface and adapted for dividing dust collector internal space into upper and lower dust collecting chambers. Lower dust collecting chamber has greater volume than upper dust collecting chamber. Divider is mounted in inclined position on internal circumferential surface of dust collector case and may be shaped as inverted cupola.
EFFECT: increased efficiency in separation of air from fine dust particles.
