FIELD: rail transportation, lifting mechanisms.
SUBSTANCE: lubricating rod is manufactured by mixing of graphite and/or molybdenum disulfide with binder followed by composite compressing, cylinder shape forming and shell manufacturing by application of paper or cotton fabric impregnated with epoxy adhesive. Bitumen or mixture thereof with mineral oil is used as binder. Graphite and/or molybdenum disulfide content is 50-70 mass %, and balance: binder. When bitumen is used in mixture with mineral oil, its content in bitumen is 5-15 mass %. Claimed lubricating rod is useful in lubrication of wheel-rail friction pairs.
EFFECT: reduced deterioration of tracks and wheel flanges in rolling equipment and crane technique.
