VEHICLE WINDSHIELD WIPER BLADE Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC B60S1/38 

FIELD: transport engineering; windshield wipers.

SUBSTANCE: proposed windshield wiper blade has elongated elastic rubber tape to contact with glass installed in elongated elastic holder axially parallel to holder to which fastening part is directly connected and designed for connecting blade with windshield wiper arm connected with windshield wiper operating mechanism. Holder is provided with spring strips 28 in plane passing before glass parallel to glass whose lower surfaces 13 are pointed to glass, and inner longitudinal edges pointed to each other and arranged at a distance from each other are fitted in corresponding longitudinal slots 54, 56 made in rubber tape and opened from its longitudinal its sides which are further interconnected by means of two cross bridges 36 arranged at a distance from each other in longitudinal direction. At least one cross bridge 36 has central section 42 located at a distance from upper surfaces 11 of spring strips 28 forming at least one clamp-like or bridge cross member. Distance 34 between both spring strips is less than longitudinal extent 46 of said central section, and fixing devices 74, 76, 78 are provided on holder designed for locking rubber tape 14 in holder and thus preventing its longitudinal displacement relative to holder. Spring strips 28 are interconnected by clamp-like cross bridge 36 by welding.

EFFECT: provision of reliable fastening of runner tape to holder without inner stresses, provision of simple, light, compact, easy to manufacture device.
