WINDSHIELD WIPER BLADE FOR AUTOMOBILES Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC B60S1/38 

FIELD: transport engineering; windshield wipers.

SUBSTANCE: proposed windshield wiper blade has elongated elastic rubber tape applied to windshield glass and installed in elongated resilient holder 12 parallel to longitudinal axis of glass with fastener directly connected with holder and designed to connect said blade with windshield wiper arm connected with drive. Holder 12 contains spring strips 28, 30 arranged in plane parallel to windshield wiper glass, lower surfaces 13 of strips being pointed to glass and inner longitudinal edges of strips arranged at a distance from each other being fitted in longitudinal slots made in rubber tape and open from its longitudinal sides. Spring strips 28, 30 are interconnected by at least two cross members 36 arranged at a distance from each other in longitudinal direction. At least one of said cross members has central section 42 arranged at a distance from upper surfaces 11 of spring strips, thus forming at least one clamp-like or bridge-like cross member. Distance between both spring strips 28, 30 is less than longitudinal extent of said central section 42, and fixing device 74, 76, 78 is provided on holder to lock rubber tape in holder 12, thus precluding its longitudinal displacement relative to holder. Said fixing device 74, 76, 78 is arranged on one of cross members 36, being formed by tongue elongated member 74 projecting from central section 42 of one of cross members 36 towards side of furthest end of both spring strips.

EFFECT: provision of simple, lightweight and compact design of windshield wiper.
