FIELD: transport engineering; windshield wipers.

SUBSTANCE: proposed blade 10 is provided with elongated elastic rubber tape 14 in contact with windshield glass installed in elongated elastic holder 12 parallel to its longitudinal axis with attachment device connected directly to said holder. Attachment device is designed for connecting the blade with arm of windshield wiper connected with operating mechanism. Holder 12 is provided with two spring strips arranged in plane passing parallel to glass 22. Lower surfaces 13 of strips are pointed to glass, and inner longitudinal edges of strips are pointed to each other being arranged at a distance from each other and fitted in corresponding longitudinal slots 54, 56 made in rubber tape and open from longitudinal sides of tape. Slots are interconnected by at least two cross bridges 36 in longitudinal direction arranged at a distance from each other. Advantages of proposed blade aimed at reducing cost of manufacture are provided owing to the fact that each cross bridge 36 has central section which is located at a distance 44 from upper surfaces of spring strips 28, 30 forming clamp-like or bridge-like cross members, with distance between both spring strips 28, 30 being less than longitudinal extent of said central section. Cross bridges 36, 38 are attached to upper surfaces of both spring strips 28, 30 and are connected to the latter by welding to provide straight-line extension of rubber tape 14 from one of ends of holder between both longitudinal edges of spring strips 28, 30 pointed to each other and forming the holder.

EFFECT: reduced cost of assembling of windshield wiper blade.
