FIELD: can opening devices.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hand openers of rolled-lid metal cans. Proposed device includes two closing levers with handles mounted on common axle carrying shafts of disk knife and traction riffled wheel, respectively, arranged in one plane and mechanically closed by toothed engagement. Shaft of disk knife is tilted of traction wheel normally mounted relative to lever under which cam is installed projecting for interaction with wall of can behind disk knife asymmetrical cutting edge. Lever hub with handle is secured on coaxial bushing installed for independent rotation relative to shaft of traction wheel. Hub carries gear of reduction gear whose gear wheel is secured on shaft of traction wheel.

EFFECT: reduced force required for rotation of traction wheel, provision of stepless opposite rotation of disk knife with resulting higher efficiency and facilitated opening of thick-walled metal boxes of different shape and size.
