POTABLE WATER PURIFYING FILTER "GORNY" Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC C02F1/18 B01D24/12 

FIELD: sanitary and technical equipment, in particular, potable water purifying filters, which may be also used in other branches of industry.

SUBSTANCE: filter has casing, flange joined to cover and to sealing ring, and cover equipped with branch pipe for introducing water into filter. Casing has water discharge branch pipe provided on its lateral surface. Casing is filled with filtering material of various natural minerals, which define purification steps, each being adapted for removal of certain contaminants. Said steps are arranged axially of casing. First step is adapted for preliminary removal of contaminants and is composed of mineral layers defining packet arranged in enclosure fixed to cover internal surface on branch pipe by means of nut with sealing ring. Quartz mineral is used as filtering material for first layer of first step; diatomite for second layer; pyrolusite mineral for third layer. Small-grain clay filler is used as filtering material for second step. Zeolite mineral is used for third step. Permutite is used for forth step. Schungite is used for fifth step.

EFFECT: improved quality of water, increased service life of filtering material and filter, wider operational capabilities, simplified construction and reduced production costs.
