FIELD: armament.
SUBSTANCE: the method for missile firing consists in launching of the missile and guidance of it to the target with determination of the missile position by means of a luminous pyrotechnical radiation that is ignited before the missile appears in the field of vision of the guidance instrument. The force of luminous radiation of the pyrotechnical radiator is enhanced step by step in the process of missile flight in proportion to the range of missile flight and at the same time the area of its radiance is enhanced. The device for realization of the method has a warhead, control compartment and a pyrotechnical luminous radiator that is positioned in the body, its longitudinal section is formed by a trapezoid. The radiator is installed on the missile with the larger base towards the missile nose cone. The body inner cavity is filled with several pyrotechnical charges, with the force of radiation enhancing to the larger base. The body of the pyrotechnical radiator is made of n incombustible material, mainly of aluminum or zinc.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of target destruction.
