FIELD: technologies for determining coordinates of static defects.
SUBSTANCE: method includes together with excitation of light pulses by hard-body laser launching of electric pulse g, producing stepped electric pulse. Amplitude of first step of this pulse corresponds to maximal let-through capacity of electro-optical light modulator and has adjustable duration within 10-8-10-4 seconds, while second level amplitude is 100-1000 times less then first one and has duration 10-3 seconds, therefore at output of electro-optical modulator of light, light pulse has same shape, duration and relation between amplitudes as electric one. During alteration of duration of excitation pulse, spectral composition of main spectrum leaf is altered towards amplitude increase of low-frequency component for shifting main energy of spectrum towards low-frequency area, to change penetrative ability of signal accordingly. For later calculations of coordinates of static defects minimal value of time of movement of signal from excitation points to receipt points is taken from all durations for each receipt channel.
EFFECT: improved precision and information capacity for determining position of structural defects in mountain rock massifs.
