SUBSTANCE: proposed switch shipped in preassembled state contains ties, connecting rail zone and spider zone, switch change-over device, position drives and control devices. Position drives are made in form of hydraulic servos. Hydraulic pipelines for connection with position drives are flexibly mounted on ties. Position drives are connected to movable parts of switch, for instance, to points, for turning around axis passing in longitudinal direction of rail with intermediate connection of flexible connecting members and/or barrel-like supports. According to proposed method of building switch into rail track, switch in form of functional groups preliminarily assembled into common unit is delivered to vehicle. Point zone of connecting rails and spider zone are lowered, together with preliminarily assembled ties, movable parts of switch with switch change-over device and protective devices, onto place of installation and are connected with adjoining rails. Then switch is filled with crushed stone and ballast bed is tamped, connecting wires for switch operating mechanism are connected, and protective devices and switch are set into operation.

EFFECT: reduced to minimum time of closing of block sections.
