FIELD: shipbuilding; building of rescue ships.

SUBSTANCE: proposed rescue ship has hull, island-type deck superstructure including wheel house with front wall inclined backward, fore part of hull with stem and superstructure and aft part of hull and main power plant. Upper skin of superstructure of fore part of hull is assembled from extended fins at sweep convergence or convergence of fins towards forepeak; each end face is in contact with arbitrary circle passing in plane normal to ship's fore-and-aft axis. Sweep convergence angle or arbitrary convergence of fins of face α formed by lines one passing through said point of contact with arbitrary circle and point of convergence or arbitrary convergence of fins of faces and other line passing through this point in parallel with ship's fore-and-aft axis is determined for condition of α=15°10°.

EFFECT: enhanced economical efficiency at reduced usage of materials and mass of structural members; improved seaworthiness, stability, damage resistance, floodability, durability; enhanced efficiency of main shipboard power plant.
