FIELD: aircraft manufacture; manufacture of seaplanes, amphibian airplanes, ground-effect craft.
SUBSTANCE: proposed seaplane has hull with planing steps and low-set hydroplaning dihedral wing. Trailing edge of center-wing section is located below chin line. First planing step is iron-shaped in plan. Distance between seaplane CG and tip of first planing step is equal to (0.1-0.2) of hull breadth. Mounted on chin line of first planing step are hydrodynamic flaps forming stage at distance of (0.5-0.7) of hull breadth. Hull bottom is provided with longitudinal planing steps which are parallel to seaplane axis of symmetry till intersection with first planing step.
EFFECT: reduced takeoff run; improved takeoff and landing characteristics due to reduced intensity of water jets and area of washed surface; reduced aerodynamic resistance at planing speed.
