FIELD: aeronautical engineering; designing seaplanes and aircraft-amphibians.
SUBSTANCE: proposed aircraft amphibian has hull, low-set gliding wing at positive dihedral angle and hydrodynamic surface. Trailing edge of center section of wing is located below bilge line. Hydrodynamic surface is secured on bottom of nose portion of hull at positive angle relative to keel line of hull. Hydrodynamic surface is made in form of planing step. Hydrodynamic surface may be also made in form of hydro-ski or hydrofoil.
EFFECT: improved hydrodynamic properties; enhanced seaworthiness due to optimization of position of trailing edge of center section of wing.
