FIELD: biochemical diagnosis, medicine, biochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves determination of the concentration of fecal pancreatic elastase-1 by immunoenzyme assay wherein mass of feces dry matter is determined additionally. The concentration of fecal pancreatic elastase-1 in 1 g of dry feces matter is calculated by the following formula: Cd = (Ca x M1)/Md1 wherein Cd means the concentration of elastase-1 in 1 g of feces dry matter; Ca means the concentration of elastase-1 in 1 g feces obtained by immunoenzyme assay; M1 means any mass of feces used in determination of feces dry substance; Md1 means mass of feces dry substance comprising in M1. Normal values of the concentration of fecal elastase-1 are considered to be from 1000 to 2500 mcg per 1 g of feces dry substance. Using the method allows carrying out assay of the content of fecal pancreatic elastase-1 at any consistence of feces, provides possibility for control of fecal pancreatic elastase-1 in dynamics and without dependence on changes in feces consistence in patients. Method provides enhancing precision and objectivity of results.
EFFECT: improved method for determination and assay.
