FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, equipment used in mowers for mowing, grinding and uniform distribution of mown and ground mass over mown area.

SUBSTANCE: mower has cutter bar mounted on frame and made in the form of rotors equipped with knives and arranged under housing. Rotors are mounted for rotation in vertical plane on horizontal shafts positioned perpendicular to frame. Frame is hitched to tractor and is disposed in horizontal plane at an acute angle to tractor longitudinal axis. Adjacent rotors are arranged in horizontal plane in offset relation with respect to one another. Knives of rear rotors have length exceeding that of front rotors and are positioned in overlapping relation with respect to working zone of front rotors. Knives positioned in cutter bar rotors are turned through an angle of 45-75 deg relative to plane of rotation thereof.

EFFECT: improved quality of mowing and uniform distribution of mown mass over mown area owing to rotation of knives in vertical plane.
