FAST GRASS SUN-DRYING MOWER Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: mower has frame with hitch tongue, cardan shaft, carrier wheels and column. Housing is mounted on frame and incorporates supporting shoes, front shield, rotor with knives and beaters positioned in brackets pivotally fixed on housing surface. Deck formed of two sections is disposed under rotor. Deck first section is made in the form of rigidly secured horizontal comb with fingers. Shear plate is fixed behind comb slots and continuous radial deck section is positioned behind shear plate for rotation and adapted for regulating gap. Discharge pipeline is arranged behind housing. Pivotal shield is fixed on upper end of discharge pipeline. Flat windrower is pivotally fixed under window of discharge pipeline so that its inclination angle may be regulated. Mower facilitates fast grass sun-drying due to mowing, grinding and breaking of stalks followed with gradual laying on stubble in the form of well blown-through windrow.
