FIELD: mechanical engineering; engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to internal combustion engines with two-stage gas-turbine supercharges and with supercharging air cooler. Proposed engine contains two-stage gas-turbine supercharger and supercharging air cooler in connecting channel between compressor of low-pressure stage and compressor of high-pressure stage. Supercharging air cooler is formed by cooling insert passing coolant in connecting channel passing supercharging and compressor of high-pressure stage of gas-turbine supercharger and section 16 of connecting channel. Connecting channel on this section forms outer wall of supercharging air cooler by its wall. It limits amount of air sufficient for effective cooling of supercharging air flowing around built-in cooling insert owing to passage of coolant through cooling insert.
EFFECT: provision of effective air cooling at reduction of overall dimensions of cooler.
