FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: engine incorporates a split crankcase with an upper and lower parts, a supercharging air cooler and/or an intermediate cooler. The aforesaid cooler is made integral with a crosswise or a support plate or is attached thereon, the plate abutting on the crankcase upper part. The aforesaid plate, along with the oil pan abutting on the plate, form the crankcase lower part enveloping the space under the crankshaft to efficiently cool the supercharging air in rather limited cooler space.
EFFECT: high-efficiency supercharging air cooling in limited space.
