SUBSTANCE: invention may be used in internal combustion engines supercharged. The operation method is made for a turbocharged engine having an electronic control unit, comprising instructions stored in memory. The operating conditions of the compressor indicating whether the compressor is in surge or out surging area are defined. The amount of the supercharge air flow is reduced by a valve actuator control (210) the supercharge air cooling (80) to reduce the number of channels in the tubes (204) through which the supercharge air passes inside the cooler (80), the charge air downstream of the compressor in response to working conditions of the compressor. The method of operation of the engine with the turbocharger and engine system are disclosed.

EFFECT: invention prevents compressor surge.
