FIELD: the invention refers to radiolocation technique and may be used for measuring the flight altitude of a flying vehicle.
SUBSTANCE: blocks which allow to measure the flight altitude of flying vehicles in two stages are introduced: time TO of recycling of N periods of repetition in an inner channel is measured then time TH of recycling in a channel of measuring altitude is measured and altitude is determined At that the period of repetition of recycling of impulses is changed according to a casual law.
EFFECT: increasing accuracy of measuring of a flight altitude of a flying vehicle, speed and noise immunity of a radio altimeter.
