FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radar engineering and can be used at development of on-board flight altitude measuring devices of aircrafts. A recirculating radar altimeter includes a start-pulse oscillator, a clock-pulse oscillator, two AND elements, two OR elements, three delay lines, a transmitter, a directional coupler, an isolating unit, an antenna unit, an amplitude detector, an UHF switch, a trigger, a receiver, a tracking unit and an altitude calculation unit, which are connected to each other in a certain way.
EFFECT: simplifying radar altimeter design and improving its reliability, as well as enlarging functional capabilities owing to providing the possibility of routine control of measurement accuracy.
