FIELD: optical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: binocular magnifier-type optical device has two systems of lenses, any of which has at least one objective and eye-glass, automatic focusing unit for changing focal length of lenses for making them give sharp image corresponding on binocular magnifier from object, device for changing magnifying factor of lens systems corresponding to focal length which device is mounted in correspondence with distance of binocular magnifier from object, and adjustable optical members disposed along trajectory of rays of optical device. Optical members intended for changing angle between trajectory of beams passing from lens systems to object when changing focal length for making lens system to form sharper image, which lenses are mounted along curved trajectories for movement. Stereoscopic image can be created without changing position of tubes when putting changes into working distance and magnification factor.
EFFECT: improved efficiency.
