METHOD FOR APPLYING COMBINED MICRORADIOSURGICAL COSMETIC BLEPHAROPLASTY Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC A61F9/07

Abstract RU 2274433 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves applying various electromagnetic wave modulations at frequency of 3.8 MHz using radiosurgical Surgitron apparatus produced by Ellman company (USA). Transcutaneous subciliary incision is to be done with waveguide electrode TA8 in fully-filtered wave mode, or transconjunctival incision is done along inferior conjunctival fornix using the same waveguide electrode in fully-rectified wave mode. Then, musculocutaneous flap is separated without changing electrode and electromagnetic wave modulations. Hernial package of bulbar cellular tissue is fixed in hemostatic forceps and cut with electrode TA8 in fully rectified wave mode along anterior branch surface of the hemostatic forceps. Then guaranteed hemostasis is carried out with waveguide electrode TF1 being changed over back branch surface of the hemostatic forceps in partially rectified wave mode. Then, the hemostatic forceps is removed and excised bulbar cellular tissue hernia stump is spontaneously reduced into the orbit. Internal, medial and external hernial packages are withdrawn in the same way. After having sutured orbicular muscle of the inferior eyelid with U-shaped sutures, external partial myotomy of the orbicular muscle of the inferior eyelid is done using waveguide electrode TA8 in partially rectified wave mode. Then, U-shaped sutures are attached to periosteum near external orbit edge. Next to it, skin flap of involuting inferior eyelid skin is spread without stretching skin and future resection boundaries are marked. When making skin resection, waveguide TA8 electrode wolfram core projection is changed by flap thickness value and resection is done by applying fully rectified wave mode. The wound is sealed by placing intradermal continuous suture. Superficial or moderately deep skin peeling with waveguide electrode TB6 with inclination angled remodeled to 45-60° with respect to electric holder axis before applying procedure. Single treatment procedure is applied to peripheral peeling zone and the basic peeling zone is treated in two or three passages. Then, post-peeling surface is covered with 10% potassium permanganate solution. Postoperative scab is formed rejected spontaneously in 5-8 days.

EFFECT: improved lower eyelid blepharoplasty quality; eliminated chrono- and photodegradation phenomena within 2 months.
