FIELD: searching cells for user hardware in digital cellular mobile code-division multiple access communication systems.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes choice of operating frequency for user hardware, synchronization of base station with user hardware, and correction of carrier deviation between user hardware and base station. Synchronization of base station with user hardware includes evaluation of time interval for tuning sequence transferred from base station to user hardware basing on method for evaluating characteristic power window of tuning sequence; calculation of correlation for data and tuning sequence received within this interval to obtain precise position of user hardware reception. Correction of carrier deviation between user hardware and base station includes evaluation of carrier deviation between user hardware and base station by means of software, compensation for carrier-frequency difference using estimate obtained and feedback method for hardware control; carrier deviation correction method depends on joint detection for carrier deviation correction.
