SUBSTANCE: in method and system, packet data exchange in inactive mode is interrupted in case when remote network point becomes inaccessible. Wireless client station determines that remote network point became inaccessible, and sends termination notice to network, identifying communication session, appropriate for given remote network node.
EFFECT: client station can initiate process of interrupting network connection between remote point and wireless network.
