FIELD: light industry, in particular, production of transformable furniture.

SUBSTANCE: sofa-bed has base, upright sides and back comprising back members, with one back members being pivotally connected to sides and other back members being pivotally connected with one another and being positioned for rotation to create "bed" position above back, at least one bed forming portion, holders and guards. Upright sides have projections for retaining of back and additional bed forming part in horizontal position, and receptacles for retaining of holders in operating position. Sofas-beds of such construction may be used for creating of additional bed-forming portions of second, third and further tiers to provide additional bed forming places in rooms with restricted area.

EFFECT: wider operational and functional capabilities and convenient and simplified transformation of sofa into bed and vice versa.
