FIELD: manufacture of transformable furniture.

SUBSTANCE: sofa-bed which may be transformed into two-tier bed has base, vertical sides, back pivotally connected to vertical sides, holders, and holder displacement device. Each of vertical sides has at least one member protruding toward one another and provided with at least one receptacle for fixing of holder pivotally connected to back. For transformation of second tier into bed, holders are moved by means of displacement device from lower position to upper position to fix back in its operating position.

EFFECT: simplified transformation of sofa-bed, enhanced reliability in operation, and wider operational capabilities.
