FIELD: medical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: air ions are produced when combining electrons with molecules in the air in horizontal cylindrical air duct around fan blades. When issued into free space, electrons rush upward under vertical terrestrial electrical field at speed of 1000 m/s and air ionization takes place near the ceiling. To make air ionization take place in the whole fan air duct volume, thin aluminum layer is available in air duct walls. The device has fan, air duct and needle-shaped electron radiators mounted on dielectric fan blades. Power supply source has transformer increasing alternating public current voltage and delivering to the needle-shaped radiators via restrictive resisters. The cylindrical air duct is screened from the terrestrial electrical field influence by means of thin aluminum layer available in its walls.
EFFECT: small-sized ionizer possessing features of producing and supplying ionized air into living or working rooms.
