FIELD: separation.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises flowing fluid through a number of tin layers defined by parallel or almost parallel flat plates arranged with a spaced relation of d < 10 mm. For a low Reynolds number that is defined by the value of the space d, the flow of liquid or gas in the direction of the pressure drop in the working space of the device is laminar. Under the action of gravity and centrifugal force more dense admixtures move perpendicular to the flow, are settled on the bottom wall of the space, and are discharged to the collecting chamber through the special openings and further to the outlet pipeline. The purified fluid is drained through the collector on the opposite end of the working space. The device is made of centrifugal separator.
