SCREW-TYPE SEPARATOR Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC B07B13/11 

FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, screw-type separators for creating novel machines adapted for sorting out of mixtures by friction coefficient.

SUBSTANCE: separator has a number of screw troughs fixed in equally spaced relation from one another. Screw troughs are secured on vertical shaft so as to define multiple-thread screw, and hopper equipped with gate. Outer sizes of troughs and distances from trough upper edge to vertical shaft are increasing from axis toward peripheral portions. Inclination angles of generatrices of screw-type troughs to horizontal plane are also increasing. Terminating trough with side has maximal inclination angle of generatrix to horizontal plane and maximal outer sizes. Electromagnetic vibrator located on side surface of hopper is adapted for uniform feeding of seeds into trough. Electromagnetic vibrators rigidly fixed in equally spaced relation to lower surfaces of screw-type troughs are adapted for intensifying of seed movement process during movement of seeds over helical surfaces of troughs and for fast removal from inclined surfaces of garbage and flat seeds.

EFFECT: increased efficiency in separating of seed mixtures by friction coefficients and improved quality of separated fractions.
