FIELD: building, particularly to perform repair and construction works for building room finishing, repair and restoration.

SUBSTANCE: device comprises working plate with load-bearing members and individual securing means to which self-securing end is fastened by the first latch hook. The self-securing end is connected to one steel cable, which is fastened to building structure members, by another latch hook. Load-bearing members are formed as frames with railings. Working plate is supported by lower sides of each load-bearing member frame. Upper walls thereof are connected to other steel cables by latch-hooks. Method of repair and construction work performing involves accommodating worker on working plate; securing individual safety system to the worker; connecting self-securing end to one steel cable connected to building structure members; moving plate and worker along steel cables so that worker may pull himself by hands along the steel cables.

EFFECT: increased safety for staff during ceiling finishing and increased economic efficiency.
