FIELD: wind power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed gearless wind electric generating unit has tower, rotary base with tail and segment stator member, wind wheel with hub installed in bearing on rotor axle and blades with segment rotor members. According to invention, hub is installed with axial out reach of rotor members relative to stator member to increase axial overlapping of "rotor member-stator member" up to 100%, and rotor axle is provided with stop and spring installed between stop and axial bearing which provides reduction of starting torque, thus improving and operating characteristics.
EFFECT: reduced starting torque.
