FIELD: optical instrument engineering.

SUBSTANCE: telescope belongs to big astronomic telescopes with multi-element compound mirrors and can be used in astronomy for getting images of distant space objects and for monitoring of space from the point of view of asteroid safety. Telescope has case in form of hollow body of rotation with entrance window, image-forming device disposed inside the case, lodgment provided with section for the case which lodgment s mounted for azimuth turn, and guides disposed in alignment for turning case along horizontal axis. Case is made with two flat parallel cuts being orthogonal to axis of rotation of case around horizontal axis. Recess of lodgment is made in form of U-shaped slot in lateral cross-section to embrace case along its cuts. Guides for angular turn of case are mounted onto sides of U-shaped cut of lodgment turned to each other; guides are brought into contact with cuts of case.

EFFECT: improved reliability of big-sized telescope; high quality of image.
