SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optical-electronic devices and can be used for search, detection and determination of coordinates of radiating objects in hemispherical field of view. Said result is achieved by fact that device comprises spherical cowl, scanning element in form of rectangular prism with drives of electric motors and angular position sensors, optical system with inlet and outlet components, as well as matrix photodetector with cooled diaphragm, connected to computation and control device. View of required zone of space is carried out by rotation of prism with constant angular speed about vertical axis and oscillating movements relative to horizontal axis. Essence of invention consists in fact that input component of optical system is focusing lens and it is placed inside hollow rotors of motor drives of scanning element, while output component of optical system is projection objective.

EFFECT: technical result consists in creation of compact high-speed thermal direction finder with reduced overall dimensions, weight and power consumption.
