FIELD: decontaminating liquid radioactive wastes.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method for decontaminating liquid radioactive wastes includes settling-down with aid of alkali in environment of calcium and/or magnesium ions and phosphate ions followed by separation of sediment. This sequential process is conducted in two stages with pH maintained constant at 4 - 5 during first stage and 7 - 9 during second one.
EFFECT: enhanced degree of decontamination, reduced consumption of chemical agents.
