FIELD: environment protection, particularly to clean water surface of oil products.
SUBSTANCE: method involves enclosing contaminated area with boom; connecting boom ends with joint means to create continuous contour; simultaneously connecting opposite boom sections in constriction unit and pulling them by pulling means. Upper and lower parts of opposite boom sections are firmly connected with each other in constriction unit. Above boom section connection is additionally secured in fixing unit to obtain elongated closed structure having positive floatability. Oil products are accumulated inside the structure. The structure has cross-sectional diameter, which is considerably less than length thereof. Oil products are removed from the structure by gravity. Device for above method implementation involves boom, pulling means, joint means, constriction unit and fixing unit, which secures upper and lower parts of opposite boom sections, as well as receiving vessel and weights.
EFFECT: increased water surface cleaning efficiency and improved device performance.
