FIELD: environmental protection.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to environmental protection during technical operation of main oil pipelines and can be used for localization and elimination of oil spills in natural water reservoirs with flow rate higher than 1.5 m/s. Firefighting hydraulic monitor nozzle comprises flow forming nozzle, plug, streamlined insert secured on longitudinal stabilizing ribs in nozzle, fairing and stabilizing plates are made with blade edges at ends of fluid flow jet output, fairing and stabilizing plates at jet inlet are made with streamlined shapes. Firefighting hydraulic monitor nozzle and fairing in cross section along its longitudinal axis change shape from circumference to slot-like shape with slit long axis located parallel to horizontal line of water level in river. Blade edge of the nozzle is made by a groove of the outlet end face of the trapezoidal shaped nozzle. Method of localization and elimination of oil spills from water surface at high speeds of river flow includes oil-spill booms, receiving device is located at oil-spill booms bottom edge along river flow and communicating with settling tank located on bank. Localization of oil spills at high speeds of river flow is performed by washing by the fire stationary fire-suppression systems installed with engine pumps towards the oil-spill boom, installed at low distance from water surface on small vessels, built in the cascade along the river flow at a distance from each other, which ensures flushing of the spilled oil with laminar flows along the river surface. Firefighting hydraulic monitors of stationary fire-suppression system are equipped with nozzles as per cl. 1.

EFFECT: higher quality of water surface cleaning from oil and oil products contamination under conditions of river flow high speed.
