FIELD: electricity metering systems for areas where concentration of power consumers is high.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method for electrical energy supply involves connection of power consumers to supply mains through load switching devices controlled by electricity meters. The latter are grouped (within apartment house) and connected to group control unit which, in its turn, receives instructions over radio link from control center. Instruction informs about total amount of electrical energy paid by user. Then control unit conveys instruction over wire communication channel to respective meter. The latter computes difference between paid and consumed amount of electrical energy. Difference obtained is used to evaluate admissible power consumption level and if it exceeds current moment, load is disconnected from supply mains.
EFFECT: reduced cost of metering system production and maintenance.
