FIELD: wood processing.
SUBSTANCE: two variants of the method and device are proposed for producing glued layered timber. Glued layered timber is made of row of timber sheets which sheets are laminated together by means of hot press with thermosetting glue into continuous multi-layer board. Timber sheets in the board are disposed in any layer to follow staggered order along surface of board in relation to timber sheets in adjacent layer. Device has unit for selective covering of one surface of timber sheet by thermosetting glue, unit for supplying with timber sheets, control aid, hot press with pair of heating plates which are disposed to meet each other and auxiliary heating plate which is disposed to adjoin one end of any heating plate. Auxiliary heating plate is adapted for pressing part of sheet of timber, which passes outside top edge of heating plate.
EFFECT: improved strength; improved quality of glued timber.
