FIELD: technology of breaking ice cover by submarine vessel running under ice and surfacing in compact ice.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in excitation of resonance flexural gravitational waves in ice during her motion. During breaking ice, vessel performs repeated passes under ice at area of expected surfacing. Number of passes is dictated by degree of ice breaking required for safe surfacing of vessel. Degree of ice breaking is determined by additional amount of ballast to be taken for keeping the vessel at preset depth.
EFFECT: enhanced safety of surfacing of submarine vessel under ice conditions.
