FIELD: shipbuilding; submarine ships running under ice conditions. SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in excitation of resonance flexural gravitational waves in ice hen ship is running under ice at resonance speed. Several repeated passes are made under ice. Number of lanes is limited by number which does not cause increase in rarefaction arising in ship's hull. Repeated passes are performed at critical speed. Degree of rarefaction is recorded by means of pressure sensor mounted in midship portion of ship's hull. EFFECT: enhanced safety of surfacing under ice conditions. 2 cl, 1 dwg
