FIELD: the invention refers to measuring technique.
SUBSTANCE: the meter of the width has sensors of position of the edges of the material in the shape of two rules of infrared emitters and photosensors; a microprocessor; a block of forming signals of interrogating the sensors including a decipher with a scheme of control and a commutator, whose two inputs are connected with the outputs of the photosensors, and the output through the register of current meanings with the input of the microprocessor, at that the cycle input of the scheme of control of the decipher is connected with the control output of the microprocessor with the aid of a controller; and also has a system of correction results having a meter of longitudinal deformation including an optoelectronics arrangement of identification of a stroboscope effect, a generator of electric impulses, an impulse light lamp and a block of coincidences.
EFFECT: reduces errors of measuring, promoting of increases of coefficient of using materials at its processing into articles.
