FIELD: manufacture of building materials.
SUBSTANCE: proposed composite structural heat-insulating compound contains cement and granulated foamed glass, fraction 10-40 mm and fraction 50-1500 mcm distributed in cement matrix at the following ratio of components, vol-%: foamed glass, fraction 10-40 mm, 70-80; foamed glass, fraction 50-1500 mcm, 10-22; cement matrix, 8-10. Foamed glass of said fractions is produced by granulation and foaming of powder-like charge obtained through mixing aqueous solution of sodium and/or potassium silicate in the amount of 30-70 mass-% at temperature not above 70°C with finely ground broken glass and carbon-containing gas-forming agent followed by heat treatment of this mixture at temperature of 450-550°C till complete removal of water including chemically combined water and grinding the mixture after cooling. Composite material is made from mixture of foamed glass in form of two fractions of different granulometric composition and cement with water after molding and hardening at treatment with steam.
EFFECT: extended raw material basis for manufacture of building materials.
