FIELD: railway transport; permanent way; tie tampers.
SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for tie-tamping machines used for compacting ballast of track. Proposed blade of tie-tamping tool has hard-alloy plates on part of its front and on rear surfaces. Part of hard alloy plates on rear surface over periphery of side and upper parts of blade is made with T-shaped bend overlapping part of side and upper sides of blade.
EFFECT: increased service life-of blade.
