FIELD: mining, particularly for combined mining zone venting during flat-lying and inclined seam cutting.

SUBSTANCE: method involves separately discharging methane emitting from seam to be excavated, from rock near breakage heading and from space located over and under gas-saturated coal-rock massif; supplying summary air volume to mining zone, wherein the air volume includes air volume necessary for breakage heading venting and air volume necessary for separated air-methane mixture discharge from mining zone. Air volume necessary for breakage heading venting is determined from gas emission prediction on the base of technological and aero-gasdynamic parameters determined during deca-chip cutting by mining machine in breakage heading with the use of automatic and computer monitoring systems, which control gas conditions in breakage heading. Summary air volume is supplied along with provision of aero-gasdynamic breakage heading shielding from gas emission in aero-gas-dynamically active zone by dividing summary air flow having air distribution coefficient Kd over mining zone equal to 0.3<Kd≤0.8.

EFFECT: increased venting efficiency, reduced gas content in breakage heading and prevention of methane explosion hazard due to breakage and production headings isolation from gas emission source in excavated space.
