METHOD OF MINING OF FLAT AND INCLINED COAL SEAMS Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2210668 C2

FIELD: coal mining industry. SUBSTANCE: method includes driving of development workings outlining extraction pillar and extraction of extraction pillar by pillarless technology. In course of outlining of extraction pillar by development workings, maximum possible length of breakage face is determined with due consideration to variation of coal seam hypsometry to the dip using mathematical expression. In compliance with determined breakage face length, mounting room is formed, and extraction pillar is mined by mining complex adjacent to old mined-out space. Formed from edge part of coal seam on contact of mining complex with old mined-out space of earlier mined extraction pillar is formed stable temporary guarding wall in line with mining complex to prevent inrush of roof rocks. If length of breakage face reduces or increases, mining complex is turned and mining is carried out respectively at angle or parallel to line of seam dipping. In so doing of mining complex into caved rock is prevented. EFFECT: higher efficiency of mining of plat and inclined seams, prevented inrushes of rocks, reduced expenditures for driving and supporting of mine workings. 2 cl, 2 dwg
