FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: this can be used for ventilation of gas-saturated winning areas in working coal seams by pillarless technology. This method is applicable in return-flow and combination schemes of ventilation. According to method, air-permeable wall is formed in boundary portion of coal mass at contact with old worked-out space. With this arrangement, used air from work-face space of pillar between longwalls adjacent to air-permeable wall, and also methane-air flow passing through aerodynamically active zone of worked-out space are turned along air-permeable wall in direction towards worked-out space and through thus formed aerodynamically active link between operating worked-out space and old worked-out space aforesaid flows are brought away through old worked-out space by means of gas-withdrawing setup which is installed in support.
