FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method, tuber-cord envelope is made by molding with subsequent curing. Edges of rubber cord envelope are placed between support and mounting ring members and are loaded by force corresponding to load en edge when rubber-cord envelope is in working position. Rubber-cord envelope in assembly with support and mounting ring members is members is held in loaded state for period sufficient to provide constant speed of rubber relaxation, then load edges of envelope is removed and envelope is held during period to attain conventionally equilibrium state. Then edges of rubber-cord envelope are again loaded by force corresponding to load acting onto edge on working position of rubber-cord envelope with provision of locking of relative position of support and mounting ring members of each edge, and adjacent ring members are welded by girth seam. In process of welding, heat is removed from zone of weld seam to preclude destruction of polymer. Edges of rubber-cord envelope are secured through said support ring members and sealing on flanges of said movable members, respectively.
EFFECT: improved operating characteristics of sealings.
